Treading Lighter’s Goals for 2009
Posted January 1, 2009 – 4:16 pm in: generalNot normally one to go for the fabled New Year’s Resolutions, I figure that with the recent birth of Treading Lighter, I have something worthwhile to aim for. And so, here are Treading Lighter’s Goals for 2009:
- Use the car less (get a bike, use public transport, walk).
- Reduce the amount of chemical products used in the house; and if they are still needed, replace them with environmentally friendlier alternatives.
- Grow some veggies and build a compost heap.
As you can see, they don’t look all that hard, but that’s intentional – it’s only early days for me and my family yet. I don’t want to scare them by becoming an eco-zealot overnight!
Leave us a comment with your goals for 2009, we may feature them in a follow up post.

Thanks Nikki! My wife and I are still planning our garden and working out what we want to grow. For some reason she keeps whispering “chillis” everytime she walks past…
